Message From The Founder
We are in a volatile world in which technology is advancing so rapidly that everyone is trying to get adaptive to the change and because of that, the issue concerning the environment has been highlighted and pressed for. Calling for carbon neutralization becomes the most frequently used word. It is evident that a transition to net-zero emissions entails a transformation that would affect all countries and all sectors of the economy, especially the automobile industry, the one in the spotlight. Therefore, the auto industry is required to be at the forefront of the clean mobility movement and encourage decarbonization as a means to a healthy lifestyle while maintaining and developing the infrastructure to minimize the environmental footprint of vehicles across the lifecycle. Strategic investments in decarbonization and collaboration efforts will form the future of transportation. The tire industry, of course is one of the strategic investments.

At Tirebot, a pioneer in such a movement since 2016, we are furthering our efforts, striving to become one of the main collaborators mentioned above and commit not only to manufacturing products that will reduce carbon dioxide emissions, but also to R&D of materials with lower carbon footprints. On the other hand, Tirebot along with its suppliers is taking effective proactive measures to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing facilities and play an active role in the circular economy for scrap tires.

Besides, the mascot of Tirebot has been upgraded  tirebot robot ,  which is the anthropomorphism of a fighter derived from Mori Toyomoto, a samurai in the history of Japan. This is the cultural root of the company, which implies the integration of modernization and tradition with sustainable entrepreneurship.

Technology and Know-How of Japan Toyomoto Tire corp.

The tire manufacturing technology of Japan Toyomoto Tire Corp, (hereafter Japan Toyomoto) is state-of-the-art, with highly active adaptations of global tire technology trends such as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) in the European Union and SmartWay in the US. Japan Toyomoto’s technologies have been in the process of evolution for almost 20 years, based on the original technologies from North America, Europe, and Japan, including but not limited to research, development, and improvement of tire structure, process, quality control, rubber mixing, and use of new materials in tire formulation. The technology in use is aligned with and most appropriate to the current status of the tire industry.

 Japan Toyomoto has a technical team composed of a sizable group of senior specialists in various professions, such as R&D, processing, machinery, general utilities, thermodynamics, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, electrical engineering, and automatic control, etc. This multifaceted team serves as a guarantee towards the development of new types and sizes of tires, while maintaining the standards and quality control of current production. Japan Toyomoto’s use of the latest tire processing machinery and equipment provides another assurance of quality and productivity.

Commitment to Carbon Neutralization
and EV Tires

As far as the current carbon neutralization is concerned, the transitioning from a gas-powered car to an electric, there are some differences in how they are maintained, including tires. EVs generate instant and consistent torque when traveling, which requires better traction as tires grab the road surface and cause tremendous friction during the initial acceleration, therefore EV specific tires are necessary to maximize grip but reduce wear. In addition, the large battery packs add much weight to the vehicle, so EV tires must be adaptive to the weight increases. Because EVs are heavier, and more powerful and faster when accelerating, tires must have lower rolling resistance. Tests have shown that rolling resistance accounts for about 16% of the total energy consumed. Another factor is road noise. EVs are quiet vehicles, so EV specific tires are designed to minimize road noise.

Tirebot has considered all those elements highlighted above, and developed Denki series of EV specific tires with innovative pattern design, robust compounds, and minimized rolling resistance.
